Sandra (Sandy) Diane Bloms, 62, formerly of Minot passed away December 3rd, 2021 after a courageous battle with dementia, under the care of hospice and the loving staff of Good Nurses, LLC., Waddell AZ.

Sandy was born on May 7th, 1959 in Minot, the youngest child to Arnold and Amelia (Kraft) Bloms. She attended Little Flower Elementary, and Bishop Ryan High School, graduating with the Class of 1977. She graduated from Minot State University with a business degree.

Sandy's career included employment with Jim Ryan Chevrolet, Dakota Square Mall, IRET, and Nuvera. She had a strong work ethic and commitment to her employers.Due to her failing health, Sandy moved to Arizona in 2018 to be close to family, and resided in Assisted Care facilities.

Sandy's interests included sports. She played and coached basketball, bowled, biked, camped, golfed, was on softball and tennis leagues. She enjoyed the friendships more than the competition. Sandy was also known for her delicious sugar cookies, beautiful birthday cakes, and the many Christmas ornaments that she created and shared. Sandy volunteered on Minot's Relay for Life teams.

Sandy will be remembered as fun and loving. Her compassion was shown in the care she gave to her aging parents, and her love of family, always placing others before herself.

Sandy is survived by her siblings: Pat (Blaine) Erie, Mesa AZ, Kathy (Tim) Meuth, Watford City ND, Roger Bloms, Finley ND, Jan (Rick) Lawrence, Scranton PA, Pam (Paul) Slauter, Sun City West AZ, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and special friend Tim Ryan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Timothy.

Memorials are preferred to Minot Catholic Schools.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot, ND
