Born November 7, 1938 in Cottageville, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Monroe Adams and Marion Addison Adams. She was a retired Registered Nurse, starting at Colleton Regional Medical Center and then working for Dr. Flowers at Walterboro Family Practice. She then went to work at Westvaco Medical Center, where she retired. She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church. Ms. Elain loved crafts, antiques, flowers and collecting mountain rocks.
Surviving are: her daughter, Marion Phillips and her husband Leon of Walterboro; grandchildren, Adam Spooner and his wife Crystal and John Spooner and his wife Joy; great grandchildren, Joshua Spooner and his wife Chelsie, Jace Spooner and Lexi Spooner; great great grandson, Beckett Spooner; and nieces and nephews, Karen, Doug, Paul, Greg, Suzanne, Dennis, Darlene, and Janet. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wendell Adams and Gerald Adams; and sister, Marilyn Camburn.
