It is with great sadness, that we announce our sweet Mother, Alice Gregory Hunter, aged 90, transitioned into eternal peace on Sunday, June 12, 2022.

Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Monday June 27 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Sunday June 26 at Mount Olivet Chapel.

Alice was born in Fort Worth, Texas to parents, Joseph Gregory and Elizabeth Wruble Gregory. She attended North Side High School where she met the love of her life, Sam Hunter. They married in 1949, had 3 children in River Oaks, then moved to Haltom City in 1962. The family were members of St. George Catholic Church for many years where she served on the Women's Altar Society.

Alice was proud of her Czech/Polish heritage and was active at the National Hall and Sokol Club in Fort Worth. She was a wonderful homemaker and cooking was her specialty. She worked at Winn Dixie Bakery in Haltom City for a few years and 15 years as a Sales Associate at Sanger Harris/Foley's at North Hills Mall. Alice loved the color purple, coke floats, Skip Bo, Hallmark Channel and anything Catholic.

Alice enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and was an excellent seamstress. She stayed active with Water Therapy classes, a Red Hat Society group, had fun playing bingo and taking classes at the Hurst Senior Center.

We appreciate the staff at Medical City North Hills-Cardiac Unit and ICU. Many thanks to Life Care of Haltom (especially William and Andy).

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 40 years, Sam; son, Sam Jr.; and brother, John Gregory.

Alice is survived by sister, Liz Harlow; brother-in-law, Steve Hunter; children, Mary Alice Fridge (Dale) and Greg Hunter (Sherri); grandchildren, Tyler Hunter, Chelsea (Lane) and Amber; step-grandsons, David Fridge (Penny) and Don Fridge (Monica); four great-grandchildren, Kelsie, DJ, Isabel and Landon; nieces, Melony, Melinda, Valorie (Jimmy) and Jennifer (Roger); nephew, Chris (Ann); and many more wonderful family members and precious friends.
