Alberta Bronson, 80, of Cornell St., Wellsboro, passed away at the Green Home, April 12, 2012.
She was the wife of Adrian J. Bronson who predeceased her January 2001. They were married on Dec. 6, 1947. Alberta was born Nov. 26, 1931 in Wellsboro, the daughter of Claude Clinton Rice and Marguerite Cole Rice.
Alberta was a member of Wellsboro Women of the Moose #1147. She was also a dedicated mother and grandmother.
Surviving are sons and daughter-in-laws, James Bronson (Judy) of Wellsboro, Ronald Bronson (Fonda) of Painted Post N.Y., Kevin Bronson (Linda) of Union Grove, N.C.; daughters, Sharlene Clark of Lindley, N.Y., Barb Nichols of Wellsboro; daughters and son-in-laws, Carol Heath (Jeff), Deb Miller (Ray), Karen Bronson (Bruce), all of Wellsboro, two sisters, Evelyn Leonard and Beverly McMullen; two brothers, Robert and Richard Rice; one half-brother, Billy Kyler; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Alberta was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Friends and family are invited to Alberta's Life Celebration on Tuesday, April 17, from noon to 1 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, a "Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro, with funeral service to follow.
