Marjorie was born in Coryell County, Texas, to the late James Arthur and Willie Mae (Brookshire) Kelley. She married Marvin Baize on January 25, 1945, in Gatesville. They spent most of their married life in the Turnersville community. She started to work for the Gatesville State School for boys in 1966. She moved to Gatesville in 1968, continuing to work for TDC. Marjorie was an antique and doll collector. She was a gifted artist and musician and loved to play the piano. She was a member of the Fort Gates Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; son, Mark; three sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include her daughters: Shirley Pearce and husband, Quinton, Linda Baize, Marlene White and husband, Bob, and Garlene Erwin and husband, Rob; son, James Baize and wife, Regina; grandchildren: Steen Pearce, Denise Veach, Debbi Wyatt, Amanda Edwards, Aaron Mark Baize, Lauren Mooney, Kathryn White, Aubrey White, Jamie Erwin and Raechel Erwin; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Jo Spradley and husband, Floyd; other relatives and many friends.
