Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Lynn Sterns officiating and Justin Herod officiating the graveside service in Turnersville. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at the Turnersville Cemetery in Turnersville, Texas under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home of Rising Star.
Dicie was born Feb. 11, 1916, in Coryell County to James A. Kelley and Willie May Brookshire Kelley. She married Richard E. Adams on Nov. 9, 1934, in Coryell County. She lived in Rising Star for 30 years, and was formerly of Temple and Gatesville. She was a member of Star Pride, past president of the Saturday Club and a member of the U.M.W. Dicie was also a member of the Faith Cowboy Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include: sons, Iris Ray Adams, of Hamilton and Jimmy Earl Adams of Follett; daughter Patty Raye Davis of Rising Star; sisters Marjorie Baize of Gatesville and Jo Spradley of Goldthwaite; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Earl Adams; two daughters, Glenda Faye Adams and Clara May Adams; two brothers, Lloyd Kelley and Floyd Kelley; and two sisters, Clara Riley and Jane Gaddis.
