Isaac was the 10th of 12 children of Owen & Hannah (James) Davis.
Hannah was Owen's 2nd wife. His father Owen's 1st wife was Sarah Owen, they had 5 children.

Isaac's full siblings were:

During the War of 1812 Isaac was a Private in the 12th US Infantry (12 Aug 1813 to 31 May 1815). From the pension application it appears Isaac may have received 160 acres of bounty land. More research needed on that.

Some info show that Isaac may have been engaged or even 1st married Susanna Cassady the daughter of Felix & Susanna Cassady.

Bible records and his widow's War of 1812 pension application that on 24 Sep 1835 show Isaac married a much younger Frances West (b. 1804) She was the daughter of Job & Mary (Gaston?) West.

Info shows that while in Luzerne twp, Fayette County Isaac had apprenticed himself to Jacob Webb to become a potter.

The 1850 census for Harrison Co, WC shows Isaac as a mechanic and the couple with their 3 children:
1. Marcellus J. b. 1828, d. aft 1869, did not marry
2. Owen Van Buren, b 1836, d. aft 1869, did not marry
3. Hannah Almeda, b. 1839, m. Wm H. West
s/o J Eli & Blanche (King) West
