Robert L. Nemecek, 84, of East Syracuse died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mr. Nemecek was a native of Syracuse and lived in East Syracuse for more than 40 years. He retired from the maintenance department of the East Syracuse Minoa School District.
Surviving are his wife, Beatrice; two sons, Robert of Pennellville and Ray of Pittsford; a daughter, VaNita Thomas of Lago Vista, Texas; a sister, Rita Goldsmith of Central Square; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date.
