Diana L. Schaefer, 61, of School Hill died unexpectedly on Friday April 13, 2018 at her home. She is the former Diana Hemb, born on June 13, 1956 daughter of the late Frederick & Roma (Seifert) Hemb. Diana was raised in School Hill and was a 1974 graduate of Kiel High School. On February 2, 1975 she was united in marriage to Dan Schaefer in Manitowoc.

Diana worked for Rex Clean before owning and operating D&D Diner in Valders. She later worked at Felician Village and most Recently for Kwik Trip, Kiel in the bakery. She enjoyed bowling in the couples leagues and was a member of the Pyrotechnics Guild International (P.G.I.). She enjoyed taking trips with Dan to the Casino, but was happiest helping out her friends and family, especially the time she could spend with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Dan, two sons; Travis (Megan) Schaefer of Manitowoc, Jeremiah (Heidi) Schaefer of Kiel (School Hill) grandchildren; Caleb, Evan & Brielle, Kasey, Max, Mason & Kameron. Diana is further survived by her borthers and sisters; Joan (Bob) Loebbaka, MarJean (Jerry) Gutschow, Darlene Steffen (Verlyn Voland), Sharilyn (Dan) Wusterbarth, Betty Fellner (Rod Frankovis), Randy (Mary) Hemb, Paula (Jim) Haelfrisch, Eric Hemb, brother-in-law; Larry Steffen along with numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister; Barbara (Jack) Mayer and a brother-in-law; Robert Fellner.

According to Diana's wishes cremation has taken place. A private family get together will take place at a later date. Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
