Samuel Salomon Pagter, Jr., the son of Salomon Samuel Pagter, Sr. and Lea/Lena Jesaya/Isaja, was born on 21 May 1791, in Amsterdam. On 31 Mar 1824, he married Matje "Martha" Abraham Leon in Amsterdam, at age 32 years. He died on 29 Jan 1835 at the Jode (Jewish) Hospital, aged 43 years.

It is believed that Martha, with sons Abraham and his wife, Salomon and Isaiah immigrated to America together.

Samuel was "moved to the nearby Jewish Cemetery of Diemen also known as Joodse Begraafplaats Diemen, in 1956-1958, when nearly half of the old cemetery had to be sold to the municipality for the construction of a road" that was split by a train line.

It is a part of the "Nederlands Israëlitisch Kerkgenootschap" and has been in use since the year 1914.
