Patricia "Pat" Louise Owens Lash, 77, formerly of Pana, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022. She was born October 2, 1945 in Pana, IL, daughter of the late Charles Esper Owens & Maxine Owens Gibson. Pat married Walter L. Lash on October 5, 1963 in Pana and were married for 59 years.
Pat was a graduate of Pana High School and worked for 30+ years at People's Bank & Trust in Pana. She was "world famous" for her Red Velvet Cake.
Pat is survived by her husband, Walter Lash; children: Todd L. (Nicole) Lash of Peru, IL, and Kirk A. Lash of Dalton City, IL ; grandchildren: Cazden T. (Marisa) Lash, Bloomington, IL and Jaidynne N. C. Lash, Peru, IL and a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin, Madison; great grandchild: Draven J. A. Lash, son of Cazden & Marisa; brother, Larry Gibson, Pana and sister, Dixie Fox, Grand Chain, IL and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Rev. Lawrence "Pop" Gibson and siblings: Brian Gibson, Billy Joe Gibson, Beverly Hayes & Shirley Ruot.
A memorial service for Pat will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 in the First United Pentecostal Church, Pana at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Jonathan Blake and Rev. Todd Lash officiating.
The family requests casual attire; come as you are to celebrate Pat's life.
