BOOKER JONES HILL
COOPERS-Funeral service for B.J. Hill, 66, of Coopers who died Friday night, July 16, 1943, at 9:15 at Bluefield Sanitarium will be conducted this afternoon at 2:30 at the home.
The Rev. Lawrence Steele pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness Church of Bramwell will be in charge of the services and interment will follow in the Hill Family burial grounds.
Active Pallbearers will be: Arthur Goins, Dayton Belcher, Robert Cook, R.S. Byrd, George Goins, Robert Rigney, G.H. Riddle, and Doug Frith. Nieces of the deceased will act as flower bearers.
Mr. Hill was a retired employee of the Mill Creek Coal And Coke Company had been an employee for more than 40 years. He had been a patient at the hospital since June 29 suffering from a complication of ailments. He was born May 4, 1877 and reared near Bramwell spending his entire life in that community.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Felix Hill, pioneer residents of Mercer County. He was also receded by one daughter Vida Hill.
Surviving are is wife, Mary Wasco Hill; four children, Ray Hill, Mrs. Myrtle (Carson) McFadden, and Mrs. Virginia (Earl) Buckner all of Coopers and Mrs. Elizabeth (Doug) Tabor of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was survived by the following brothers and sisters: J.F. Hill, W.M. Hill, Miss Sessie Hill, Miss Nora Hill all of Coopers, and J.W. Hill of Roanoke, Va. Several grandchildren also survive.
