Katherin was the youngest of 12 children born to Phillip and Anna (Costello) Kailing in Reed City, Michigan. She was my Mom's youngest sister.

Katherin married Kenneth B. Loomis of Cadillac, Michigan, on January 18, 1941. They were married for 58 years. They had three children: Philip, Trish, and Pamela; 5 grandchildren: David, Julie, Stevi, Kasey, and Erin; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Katherin is survived by her children, Trish (Tom) Kedrowski of Lake, Pam (Marty) Dahlstrom of Cadillac, and daughter-in-law Carol Loomis of Reno, Nev.; brother-in-law, Stanley (Irene) Loomis of Tustin; sister-in-law, Marjorie (Bryce) Alger of Cadillac; sister-in-law Cynthia Loomis of Beaver Dam, Wis.; grandchildren, David (Ann) Kedrowski of Farwell, Stevi (Greg) Ebaugh of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Julie (Dave) Ranck of Coleman, Kasey (Mike) Robbert of Littleton, Colo., Erin (Jaime) Placido of Sparks, Nev.; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Kenneth, entered eternal life on September 1, 2006, and her son, Phil, on February 6, 1995.
