PONTSEELE, Rosemary - Age 91, died Sunday, February 25, 2001 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 10AM Thursday, March 1, 2001 at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. William Wegher officiating. Burial to follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dodds-Dumanois Funeral after 6PM Tuesday evening. Suggested visitation hours of 6-8PM Tuesday, Noon-4 and 6-8PM Wednesday. On Thursday at the church the family will receive friends from 9AM until the service time. Their will be a parish scripture service held at 8PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to the St. Michael's Church Memorial Fund or the Alzheimers Disease Association. Rosemary was born July 28, 1909, the daughter of Bernard and Mary Owens. She had been a resident of Flint and vicinity most of her life. She married George Pontseele at St. Michaels Church in Flint July 28, 1956 and they had celebrated 44 years of marriage. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church and their Altar Society. Rosemary worked as a Bookkeeper for McDonald Dairy and Lawson Carburetor, while working as a teller for Citizens Bank, retiring in the late 1960's. She is survived by: her husband George Pontseele of Flint; daughter, Jeanette Lawrence of Bloomfield Hills, MI; 2 grandchildren, Heather (Lawrence) Sandoval and husband Michael of Seattle, WA, Heidi Lawrence of Royal Oak, MI; sister, Sr. Vivian Owens I.H.M. of Nazareth, MI; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pontseele was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Eller November 14, 1954; 4 brothers, Joseph, Milton, Bernard and Theodore Owens; 2 sisters, Regina Drew and Clare Corcoran.
