Born in Lambton Co,Ontario, Canada, youngest son of George and Emily Wright Carey, Myres and his brother Arthur ventured into Dakota Territory in 1885 seeking adventure. Here he married Mary Ellen Day in 1889, fathered 5 children and in 1906 migrated north to Saskatchewan, Canada with his wife, his spinster sister Mary Emiline, son Arthur and daughters Clara, Valley, Muriel(Merle) and Mary. He lived out the remainder of his life on the farm south of Foam Lake,Saskatchewan.
