Edgar Mike Chenoweth was born, raised and lived all his life, along the Little Osage Creek near Healing Springs.

He was the second child of seven, born to Jeff William Chenoweth and Melvia Willie Hensley Chenoweth.

Edgar had six Sisters ~ Reba Estell (Hamilton) Fern, Grace Johnie (Leach), Lillian Lucille (Holland), Eunice Margaret (Bolin), and Clide Maxine (Owens Martin).

Edgar Mike was the Grandson of John King and Margaret Jane St. John Chenoweth and Baxter and Mary Elizabeth Tate Hensley.

He was a member of the Elm Springs Methodist Church in Elm Springs, Arkansas.

He married Jessie Pearl Holland, August 16, 1930. They were blessed with three sons, Johnny Gene, Leon, and Jackie Dean.

Edgar was a farmer, love good horses and mules. He worked at the co-op in Cave Springs, hauled feed for many years. He was a Wonderful Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend.

In my eyes Uncle Edgar was perfect, handsome, love to laugh, one of his favorite shows on television, was "Gunsmoke, I remember he would stop by the house nearly everyday, he love tellin' granny funny things that happened on gunsmoke. He love drivin' big cars, (the kind that had the big wheel on the back), and wearin' western hats. I was ALWAYS proud to tell people, he was my Uncle.

Uncle Edgar passed away February 4, 1983 at the age of 74. His beloved wife Jessie Pearl passed away, January 9, 1986. They were married 52 years.

One of my Very Favorite Childhood Memories, was going to Uncle Edgar and Aunt Jessie's house "Christmas Eve Night." The roads of Life lead us away, but wherever we may roam, Christmas Memories take us back and Christmas roads lead home.
