Mildred Hotard, 85, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, in the Jennings hospital. She was a native of St. Patricks and was a resident of Jennings. She was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court 1468 and the Ladies Altar Society. She was a member of the Serra Club and the Telephone Pioneers. She was an operator for Bell Phone for 45 years. Survivors include two brothers, J.L. "Buddy" Hotard III of Prairieville and Dale P. Hotard Sr. of Jennings; two sisters, Mrs. Noelie Buller and Mrs. L.E. (Leona) Foley, both of Jennings; and 21 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Hotard Jr., and one sister, Dorothy Devall. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. today, June 5, from Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. The Rev. Msgr. James Gaddy will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. The family suggests memorials be sent to Our Lady Immaculate Scholarship Fund.
