JENNINGS — A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2006, from Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church for Leona Madeline Hotard Foley, 83, who died Saturday, March 11, in her residence. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home, (337) 824-4420. The Rev. Edward Brunnert, M.S., will conduct the service.
Mrs. Foley was born on July 22, 1922, in Garyville and moved to Jennings in 1934. She was a retired bank teller with Jeff Davis Bank and American Bank. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of America.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence E. Foley Sr. of Jennings; one son, Lawrence E. Foley Jr. and his wife, Genée Hine Foley, of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Cara Foley Chance and her husband, Lance, of Carencro, Lauren Lee Foley of Jennings, Brian Foley and his wife, Elizabeth Gunn Foley, of Galveston, Texas, Capt. Chad Foley, USMC, of North Carolina and Scott Foley of Jennings; four great-grandchildren, Aaron and Aria Chance of Carencro and Sean and Sara Foley of Galveston; and two brothers, Joseph L. Hotard III of Prairieville and Dale Hotard and his wife, Sandra, of Jennings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Leonce Hotard Jr. and Marie Montz Hotard; and three sisters, Dorothy Hotard Devall, Mildred Hotard and Noelie Hotard Buller.
Visitation is 4-9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
A memorial service will be at 5:45 p.m. today by the Catholic Daughters of America, followed by a rosary at 6 p.m. recited by the Rev. Edward Brunnert
