"Lizzie" was a daughter to Edward & Catherine (Martin) Brogan, and sister to Richard Dawson, Michael, Robert A, John, Ellin, Edward, James A., and Chris Brogan.
Lizzie, followed her brother, Richard, and arrived in Osage Mission in 1878 and attended St. Anne's Academy taught by the Sisters of Loretta. The school drew girls from all over Kansas and many other states because of it's excellence in teaching.
Later she became a country school teacher, remained single, and is remembered as having a club foot.
