Siblings: Robert, Michael, Ann, Elizabeth, Ellen, Dennis and James .Parents: Michael Martin, who died of palsy, born Jul 1780, Mullingar Parish, County Westmeath, died 22 Oct 1849, immigrated in 1831 and was naturalized on July 9, 1844, same day as his son in law Edward Brogan, ( Naturalization papers, Courthouse, Canton, New York) and Elizabeth Parkinson, born ca. 1786, died 14 Feb, 1846, daughter of James Parkinson 1762-1849. Michael's parents: Thadeus and Mary Bardon.

"Norwood, Sept. 27 . . . . Michael Brogan, age 76, died at his home in Baldwin Ave., last Friday morning. Mr. Brogan fell last Tuesday and broke his hip. He kept gradually failing and died Friday. His funeral took place Monday at St. Andrew’s church at 9 a. m. He leaves a wife, two sons, Edward of Lowell, Mass., and Michael of this village, and three daughters, Mrs. John Delaney of Lowell, Mass., Mrs. Lawrence Mackey of Ogdensburg, and Miss Helen Brogan of New Jersey."
