Ruth (Jackson) Riddle, 90, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at her home.

Born April 7, 1917, in Laurens County, SC, she was the daughter of the late John M. Jackson and Daisy (Fowler) Jackson and the wife of the late James Louie Riddle.

She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Pauline.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Roberson of Easley, and Virginia West of Woodruff; two sons, Jesse Riddle of Spartanburg, and Lewis Arden Riddle of Glenn Springs; a step-daughter, Mary Durham of Spartanburg; two step-sons, J. E. Riddle of Spartanburg, and Malcolm Riddle of West Springs; twelve grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Gary Riddle, and a granddaughter, Teresa Riddle Belue, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Visitation was 7:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Shane Dismuke.
