Brief Service For Mrs. Dent Slated
Widely Known Montgomerian To Be Buried In Eufaula, Her Former Home

Brief funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Wellborn Dent will take place today from the home in Montgomery. Mrs. Dent died yesterday morning following an illness of several months after being taken ill the first week in January. The body will be taken through the country to Eufaula where services will be held at St. James Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Dent was a resident of Montgomery for 50 years and was widely known here and in other parts of the State. She had been an active member of various patriotic organizations and was also a communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Dent was a member of the Dixie Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy; Daughters of the American Revolution and the Sewell Star Legion; She served as president, regent, and treasurer of these societies during the period of her active membership; Mrs. Dent was also a member of the Huguenot Society of Charleston, South Carolina.
She was a sister of Senator W.B. Wellborn of Calhoun County, and a relative of former Congressman S. Hugh Dent of Montgomery. She was the daughter of Maximillian B. Wellborn and Emma Julia Dent Wellborn. She was born at Lewisville, Arkansas and moved to Alabama in early youth. She was married to Warren F. Dent on April 27, 1880 at Eufaula. Mr. and Mrs. Dent moved to Montgomery in October, 1885, and resided in Montgomery afterwards.

Two daughters: Mrs. Theodore B. Bethes of Montgomery; Mrs. Edward J. Oliver of Orono, Maine
Two sons: Hubert B. Dent of Livingston and Warren F. Dent of Montgomery
Grandchildren: Mrs. Alwyn Vickers of Montgomery; Miss Sarah Baldwin Bethea of Montgomery; Miss Betty Gordon Dent of Livingston
One great-grandchild: Elizabeth Bethea Vickers of Montgomery
Four brothers: Senator M.B. Wellborn of Piedmont; W.D. Wellborn of Peidmont; Alfred Wellborn of New Orleans; Arthur Wellborn of Anniston.
