Death of Colonel Wellborn

Col. Maximillian Bethune Wellborn died at his residence on north Eufaula street yesterday afternoon. He was one of Eufaula's oldest, purest, and most estimable citizens. He was sixty years of age and had been confined for several months to his room and bed, and his physicians who attended him have felt that he would not recover from his illness.
He was well known throughout this section of Alabama and was considered a man of the highest and noblest impulses. He has held many public and private trusts of responsibility.
