Newspaper, The Olney Advocate, August 30, 1945, obituary: Marion T. Herrin, 74, Olney's oldest active barber, passed away very suddenly at his home Saturday evening. Becoming ill while working at his chair in the Iaun Barber Shop he was taken home, dying shortly after arriving home. He had been a barber in Olney for fifty years, the longest period fo service by any barber in the city. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Walter Maas and Miss Arda of Olney, four grandchildren, one brother, John Herrin of Olney and one sister, Mrs. George Kimmel of Claremont. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Evangelical Church with Rev. J. S. Pritchard officiating. Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
