He married Minerva Darou 14 Oct 1915, Syracuse, Onondaga, New York.
Their children are: Dexter Joseph, Howard John (both buried in this cemetery); Dorothy Jane; Patricia Jane.
Joe didn't become a U.S. citizen until 02 Apr 1944. He worked as a lineman for the New York Telephone Co., in Syracuse. Since he had to travel and be out of town for several days, this led to distrust on the part of his wife, Minerva and a separation occured in the early 1940's. He agreed to leave the house, moved to Jamesville and never saw his family again, with the exception of Dexter. He always paid Minerva child support.
