James and Caroline are buried in the Keatley Cemetery, located "on a point of ridge above where the old village of Junta was located". Where the mouth of Indian Creek joins the New River, once Monroe Co., now Summers Co.
This was Keatley land prior to the building of the Bluestone Resevoir. Inventoried by R.K. Cottle. Cemetery buriels were published by the Summers County, West Virginia, Historical Society, 1996.
