Funeral for Harvey A. Hendrix, 79, of Decatur, was to be today at 2 p.m. in the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert R. Slack, Jr. and the Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating.
Burial was to be in Roselawn Garden of Memory Cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home Directing.
Mr. Hendrix died Wednesday at Decatur General Hospital.
He was a retired boilermaker and a member of the Oak Park Baptist Church. Mr. Hendrix was a member of the Rising Sun Lodge No. 29 and the Order of Eastern Star, Mary Lou Dancy Chapter No. 320.
Mr. Hendrix is survived by his wife, Clara K. Hendrix; one son, Larry Andrew Hendrix of Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Faye Hendrix Terry of Decatur and Sue Hendrix Carullo of Merritt Island, Fla.; one brother, Nolan Hendrix of PawPaw, Mich; three sisters, Era Mitchell of Florence, Geneva Carroll of Moulton and Jeannette Steadman of Sheffield; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers: Carl Hendrix, Maurice Means, Richard Jenkins, Douglas Rogers, Archie Hampton and Olin Rosier.
