Herman Bice was quiet and thoughtful, but loved a joke more than anyone and was known for his ability to tell a funny story.
Herman and Mag spent most of their years in Winnie Texas while he worked for Sun Oil Company. He fished the Gulf and bays around south-east Texas and was always up for an outing. After he retired from the oil fields he purchased land in Cherokee County next to his brother's home. Herman had plans of hunting this land, only a stone's throw from where he had been born, but passed away from a heart attack before he was able to do this.
He is buried next to his life-long companion Maggie Lee at Fairview Cemetery in Winnie Texas. He is missed by all who knew him.
