The Puzzle

Hour after hour and day after day at the table he patiently sat. He sorted the pieces by colors and shapes and placed each pile on a mat. He would get so excited when finally he'd find a piece he had been searching for. It made him try harder the puzzle to solve just one more piece..just one more. His eye sight was failing but still he pressed on. Moving slower, refusing to quit, he'd sort through the pieces determined to find just one more piece that would fit. He lived out his life as a puzzle to solve and carefully placed every piece. To the end he pursued, the last piece, now in place. His beautiful puzzle complete.
