John Amos Derr, a well known young man residing in Frankford township, died on Friday morning about 7 o'clock at the home of his father-in-law Thomas M. Henry. The deceased had been ill of consumption for the past several months and death was the result of that disease. He was 37 years of age, and was survived by his wife and three children. He and his wife are expecting another child. Mr. Derr was a son of Mr. Enoch Derr, of near Big Spring, south of Newville, and beside them is survived by several brothers and sisters.
The funeral was held Sunday morning at ten o'clock. Interment in the cemetery at Bloserville.
