Denzil grew up in the city of Logan, Utah farming with his dad and brothers. He served a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the England Manchester Mission from 1948 to 1950.
Denzil and Beth were blessed with five children: Steven Denzil Stewart; Robert William (Renae) Stewart; Sharilee Stewart; Janilee Stewart (Larry) Pearson; and Daren Stanton (Grace) Stewart. They have thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Denzil focused his efforts on his education and earned a degree in Animal Husbandry from Utah State University. Denzil served twelve years as an officer in the United States Army before turning his efforts to the business world. He then spent the better part of forty years working as a salesman, manager, and owner of several businesses in the Southern California area.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held numerous callings, including branch president, bishop, high councilman, and patriarch.
Denzil was blessed with a loving, thoughtful, and hardworking nature, and an eternally optimistic attitude. He lived a strong, healthy, and happy life only to succumb to cancer at the age of eighty.
Denzil was preceded in death by his son Steven; parents, brother, Jerry and sister Kathleen.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 11, 2008 at 12 Noon in the Richfield 5th Ward (800 N 500 E). Graveside services will be held in the Logan City Cemetery on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with military rites by the South Cache American Legion, Post #47. Funeral
