Services for Lona E. Sims, 79, Nixa, were held June 11 in Harris Chapel with the Rev. Gilbert Spencer officiating. Burial was in Flood Cemetery near Highlandville. Mrs. Sims died June 8 in Ozark Nursing and Care Center, Ozark. A homemaker, she lived in Highlandville before moving to Nixa 22 years ago. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church near Highlandville. Survivors include two sons, Truman Russell, Ozark, and Junior Sims, Highlandville; a daughter, Ina (Russell) White, Nixa; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
