"Jesse H. Baird Dies At Age 87" Jesse H. Baird, a former Campbell County Road Commissioner and School Board Member, died at his home at Elk Valley March 27 after a lingering illness. Mr. Baird, who was 87, was a member of the Elk Fork Baptist Church and also a member of the IOOF Lodge until his chapter was dissolved several years ago. Survivors are: four sons, Dan E. and Ancil, both of Knoxville, John A. of Clarksville, Ohio and Emmett of Sabina, Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Linda Sharp and Mrs. Aileen Conley, both of Elk Valley, Mrs. Hanna Sharp of Toledo, Ohio and Mrs. Ada Carney of Akron, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Yonce of Akron, Ohio; one brother, Andy C. Baird of LaFollette; 30 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held last Friday at Elk Fork Baptist Church, the Rev. Lowell Lawson and the Rev. General Douglas officiating. Interment was in Valley View Cemetery. Martin's Funeral Home of Lake City was in charge.
