Ada G. Carney, 84, of Akron, died November 14, 1992. Born in Elk Valley, Tenn., she lived in the Akron area most of her life. She retired from the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company in 1966, and was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple.
She is survived by husband, Luther; sister, Alene Conley, of Elk Valley Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Monday 3 to 5 p.m. at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 1446 S. Main St. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Paul D. Outland officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial
