Mrs. Mary E. Baird, age 74, of Elk Valley, died Wednesday, May 11. Funeral services Thursday, May 12 at Elk Valley Baptist Church, Rev. L.C. Bridges and Rev. Roe Chitwood officiating. Interment in Elk Fork Cemetery. Survivors: husband, Jesse L. Baird of Elk Valley; four sons, Dan E., Ancil R., Knoxville, John A. of Clarksville, Ohio and Emmett of Sabina, Ohio; daughters, Mrs. G.F. Sharp and Mrs. Vic Connelly of Elk Valley, Mrs. William Sharp, Toledo, Ohio and Miss Ada Baird, Akron, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Rachel Owen of Jacksboro, Tenn. ; thirty grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Flower girls: Ruby and Lois Bridges, Ruth and Kitty Bridges, Mary Etta Lay, Mrs. Wanda Reynolds, Mrs. Grace Shutterly, Mrs. Ella Bridges, Shirley Brown, Martha Lee Bales; Pallbearers: Charles Reynolds, Everette Bridges, Ernest, Cecil, Claude Baird, Lonzo Lawson, Jennings Lawson and E.S.
