Mrs. Sophia Rupp, 77, 216 W. 21st, died Tuesday at St. Anthony Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Church, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Munjor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H., in 1963.

Survivors include nine daughters, Mrs. Ambrose (Alice) Herrman, Mrs. Kenneth (Sandra) Moore and Mrs. Eugene (Mary) Werth, all of Wichita, Mrs. Howard (Anne) Cox, Ontario, Calif, Mrs. Bob (Zita) Zimmerman, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Mark (Pauline) Weigel, also of Denver, Mrs. Jack (Catherine) Geyer, Dillion, Colo., Miss Lucille Rupp, and Mrs. Clarence (Irene) Leiker, both of Hays. Five sons survive, Virgil, Henry and Mark, all of Wichita, Severin of Pomona, Calif., and Harry, Coolidge, Ariz; 35 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Clara Meier, Ellis, Mrs. Joe Gross, Munjor, and Mrs. Alois Gerstner, Denver, Colo.; four brothers, Fidelis and Celestine Pfannenstiel, both of Antonino, Val of Salina, and Connie of Munjor.

A parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday in Brock's North Hill Chapel. The body will lie in state at the chapel from 7:30 p.m. Wednesday until service time.
