Mrs. John W. Coles
Interment to be in town founded by her Ancestors in 1680
Mrs. John W. Coles of 2114 Pine Street a daughter of the late john C. Bullitt died yesterday at the Orthopedic Hospital at the age of 71. Two weeks ago following a frost Mrs. Coles slipped on the sidewalk and broke her hip. The injury was mending but the shock so weakened her heart that death resulted.
Mrs. Coles was the widow of a naval surgeon who died twenty-eight years ago. She is survived by two brothers Dr. John C. Bullitt Jr. and Rev. James F. Bullitt of Princeton and by a granddaughter Miss. Elizabeth Therese Tyler. Her daughter Mrs. Therese Coles Tyler died several years ago. Mrs. Coles was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Colonial Dames , the new CenturyClub of the Sedgeley Club.
Funeral Services will be tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock from St. James Protestant Episcopal Church Twenty-second and Walnut Streets. Interment will be at Colestown N.J. a village founded by one of Mrs. Coles ancestors in 1680. Members of the family have been buried in the cemetery there ever since the place was settled.
