Ruth was born to Walter Lewis Clark and Mary Margeret Rollins Clark on October 21,1911 in Oklahoma.The family lived in Agusta,Kansas, Eagle City,Ok. then moved to Watonga,Ok.Some time after her brother John, was born.Durring the deprecation the family moved to Oregon and lived in the Marion County.Marion,Salem,Jefferson areas.
Her brothers and sister were,Walter Virgil Clark,Latillie Mildred Clark (Snider),Cordelia Mae Clark (Adams),Baby brother Francis how died at the age of three years old from eating green apples.Virgina Dean Clark (McFaden),Carmen Edward Clark,John Lewis Clark.
A few years later the family moved to Oregon.Ruth meet Robert "Bob" Stoops.They eloped to Oklahoma.They returned to Marion Oregon where they made their home.They had no children.
Ruth took care of a relitive of Bob's how had TB in Arizona for a short time. It is there that she may have cought the TB that took her live.
Ruth was treated for Pulmonary Tuberculosis in 1933. By 1934 the tuberculosis had spread and she was diagnosised with Intestinal Tuberculosis.She pasted away at the State Tuberculosis Hospital in Salem,Oregon on Febuary 17,1935.
On Febuary 19,1935, her funeral was at a local church in Jefferson,Oregon.Then her body was taken to Marion Friends Cemetery for burial.
Some remaining family members that remembered going to the funeral.Said that her grave is to the right after interring the cemetery gate and close to the fence.But today there is no marker to tell us were she is buried.
