Auto dealership owner Clark dies at age 55
Terry Clark, 55, owner-manager of Imperial Motors in Idaho Falls for the past 15 years, died July 19, 1986 at a local hospital from a heart attack.
He was born May 19. 1931, at St. Anthony, son of William E. and Lula Brown Clark. He grew up and attended schools at St. Anthony.
Clark's first job in the automobile business was with Browning Motor Company in St. Anthony as a parts man and also a salesman. He moved to Rupert and worked for the Rupert Motor Company as a salesman. While there he married Jane Weimer Nov. 9, 1957.
From 1956 to 1959 he served in the U. S. Army. Following his discharge they moved to Idaho Falls. He started with Imperial Motors as a salesman and became manager. For the past 15 he has been owner-manager.
Clark was past president of the Idaho Falls Automobile Dealers Association and served on the board of directors of the Idaho State Auto Dealers Association. He had received numerous dealer awards fron Chrysler Corporation.
Survivors are his wife, Jane of Idaho Falls; two sons, Randy Clark of Green River, Wyo., and Terry Drew of Taft, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. John (Treena) Caverhill of Pocatello; two brothers, Bill Clark of Idaho Falls, and Burke Clark of St. Anthony; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Waddell of Rexburg, and Mrs. Blaine (Bonnie) Hawkes of St. Anthony; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the 29th LDS Ward Chapel, 12th and Woodruff, with Larry Hill of the ward bishopric conducting. The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Buck Sullivan Funeral Home and Wednesday at the church for one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Paul, Idaho Cemetery. Committal services there will be at 3:30 p.m.
