FINIS M. BROWN
Finis M. Brown, 83, died at the Patrick Boarding Home at 1127 Henry street, at 6:11 p.m. Saturday. He had been in failing health for five months.
Born Jan. 14, 1889, in Randolph County near Jacksonville, he was the son of John Franklin Brown and Mary Hudson Brown. He was a retired farmer, and lived most of his life in the Brush Creek and Prairie Hill districts.
He was a member of the Christian Church.
Survivors include four sons, Forrest Leslie, Marion Earl and Donnie Fay Brown, all of Moberly; and Delbert Eugene Brown, of Fremont, Calif; one sister, Mrs. Ada Cavanaugh, Moberly; and two brothers, John Henry Brown, Seattle, Wash.; and Onie Brown, of Nebraska state.
Other survivors include six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Million-Greer and Comstock Chapel, with burial at the Union Chapel Cemetery, near Darksville. Visitation began at 2 p.m. today.
