(Special) – Thomas Jefferson Ward, 76 long time resident of Myrtle Point, died today in Myrtle Point. He was born June 6, 1872 in San Jose, California and has lived in Coos County since the age of 10.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Anna Pruitt, Bremerton, Washington; Mrs. Pearl Broughton, Orville, California; Mrs. Mary Adams and Mrs. Ellen king, both of Myrtle Point.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday in Myrtle Point. Burial will be at the Catching Creek Cemetery with Rev. Ora Marsters officiating.
(Perhaps the year shown on the newspaper article was a typo. He died in 1948)
