Alton A. Abbott, 61, of 4302 Tanner Road, South Onondaga, died today in Community-General Hospital. He was a life resident of the town of Onondaga. Mr. Abbott served in the Army in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Cedarvale United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Anne Swortfigure Abbott; two sons, Richard and Ronnie; two daughters, Annette Littlefield and Juli-Ann Abbott; four brothers, Carl(Carleton), LeRoy and Alfred, all of Marcellus, and Kenneth of Florida; a sister, Harriet Winters; and three grandchildren. Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Butler-Badman Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in South Onondaga Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Contributions may be made to South Onondaga Fire Department or Cedarvale United Methodist Church.
