WHITWELL -- Helen Beatrice "Beechie" Pickett, 86, formerly of Gruetli-Laager, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at Memorial Hospital.
She was of the Methodist faith and was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Ida Nunley Caldwell; husband, John L. Pickett; son, Stanley Pickett; sister, Laura Reuhling; brothers, Chester and Roy Caldwell.
She is survived by her daughters, Elsie Henson, Collegedale, Jean Binney, Ocala, Fla., Loretta Brown, Whitwell; son, Bailey Pickett, Gruetli-Laager; sisters, Hazel Stotts, Cumberland Heights, Edna Taylor, Gruetli-Laager; brothers, Robert "Poss" Caldwell, Palmer, Howard Caldwell, Gruetli-Laager, Herbert Caldwell, Cumberland Heights; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. CDT Sunday at Layne Funeral Home with ministers Charles O. Ross and Jim Troyer officiating.
Interment: Fall Creek Cemetery.
