Mollie Hitchcock, 94, of Beaver, OH, died recently at Scioto Memorial Hospital, Portsmouth, OH. She was born Mar 21, 1894 in Johnson Co., the daughter of the late John H. and Alice Fairchild Colvin. She was a member of Oil Springs United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sherman Hitchcock in Dec 1970. Surviving are one son, Don Hitchcock of Lucasville, OH; three daughters, Mrs. Carroll (Roberta) Creech, and Thelma Cantrell, both of Beaver, and Mrs. Jesse (Pauline) Bayes of Lucasville; two brothers, Manford Colvin of Paintsville and Tom Colvin of Lucasville; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Cox Funeral Home of Beaver with Elders Samuel Murray and Francis Blair officiating. Burial was in Salisbury Cemetery near Stockdale, OH.
