Mrs. Hetty M. Davis, wife of Mr. C. P. Davis, died at her home in this city Monday, May 13, 1889, of consumption. Mrs. Davis was born in Wooster, Indiana, in the year 1838, and after her marriage with Mr. Davis removed to Illinois where they lived until about two years ago when they removed to this city...member of the Methodist church...husband and three children, one son and two daughters, and only one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Reynolds, of Lincoln, Nebraska...remains
was taken to her old home at Monticello, Ill.

J. H. Davis and wife and Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Beardsey, of Kansas City,
and Prof. M. A. Scovil, of Kentucky University, Lexington and wife, were called to this city the past week to the bedside of their dying mother, Mrs. C. P. Davis.
