Charles Kenneth Lessard was born on October 17, 1934 in Lambert Township, near Oklee, MN, the son of Charles and Rose (Asselin) Lessard. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and attended Rural Country School and Oklee High School in Oklee, MN.

Kenny was united in marriage to Louise Linnertz on October 17, 1956 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN. In January of 1958 he entered the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged in January of 1960. Kenny and Louise lived in South Milwaukee for a time, before moving back to Oklee, MN in 1964. Kenny owned and operated the Standard Gas Station for five years, drove School Bus for 26 years and was an auctioneer for ten years.

In July of 1998 Kenny moved to Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls and on January 9, 2001 he moved to McIntosh Manor in McIntosh, MN, where he has since resided.

He enjoyed visiting, playing cards, playing jokes, playing his harmonica, dancing, cooking and gardening. He loved driving bus and enjoyed being with the kids and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Plummer American Legion and the VFW and Eagles of Thief River Falls.

Kenny is survived by his special friend, Lorraine Groven; of Goodridge, MN four children: Lila (Lloyd) Bergeron of St. Hilaire, MN, Deb (fiancé Robert Buresh) Schindler of Thief River Falls, MN, Linda Thompson of Grand Forks, ND and Brenda (Steve) Joul of Sartell, MN; eight grandchildren: Trisha and, Chris Bergeron, Erin and Jason Schindlerr, Nicole and Danielle Thompson and Maura and Bethany Joul; brothers and sisters: Delores (Frederic) Berberich of Brooks, MN, Ray (MaryAnn) Lessard of Brooks, MN, Theresa Champagne of Brooks, MN, Maurice (Louise) Lessard of South Milwaukee, WI, Marie (Melvin) Mercil of South Milwaukee, WI, Walter (Mary) Lessard of Crookston, MN, Terry Lessard of South Milwaukee, WI and Yvonne (Chuck Schear) Boucher of Mentor, MN; two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Lessard of Hillsboro, ND and Ione Lessard of South Milwaukee, WI; brother-in-law, Philip Tougas of South Milwaukee, WI; and several nieces ands nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters: George Lessard, Vern Lessard, Marcella Tougas, Harold Lessard and Sharon Tougas.
