Harold E. Lessard, 51, of Oklee, died on Friday, November 16 in Equality Township in Red Lake County, from a farm accident.

Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 20, 1990, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, in Oklee. Visitation was from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 8 p.m.
wake service at the Petterson Funeral Home in Oklee on Monday. Interment was in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in rural Oklee.

He was born on August 21, 1939 in Lambert Township in Red Lake County, the son of the late Charles E. and Rose M. (Asselin) Lessard. He grew up in Lambert Township and married Rose Marie Rivard on November 19, 1960 at Terrebonne.

He worked in South Milwaukee Wisconsin from 1957 until 1972, at which time he returned to the Oklee area. He was employed as a farm laborer for several Oklee area farmers for many years and presently was employed by the Jacob 'Jim' Knudson farm.

He is survived by his three daughters, Marie (Mrs. Michael) Narloch of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tammy Lessard of South Milwaukee, and JoAnn (Mrs. Michael) Stencel of St. Francis, Wisconsin; a son, Allen Lessard of South Milwaukee; two grandsons; five brothers, Ray Lessard of Brooks, Minnesota, Maurice Lessard of South Milwaukee, Walter Lessard of Crookston, Robert Terry Lessard of South Milwaukee, and Kenneth Lessard of Brooks; five sisters, Deloris (Mrs. Fred) Berberich of Erskine, Theresa (Mrs. Elmer) Champagne of Brooks, Maire (Mrs. Melvin) Mercil of South Milwaukee, Sharon (Mrs. Philip) Tougas of South Milwaukee and Yvonne Boucher of Mentor; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Vern (1966) and George (1983); and a sister, Marcella Tougas (1983).
