PATTON MOTHER OF 14 IS DEAD
PATTON- Mrs. Gertrude Litzinger, 58, of Patton R.D., mother of 14 children, died at 10 o'clock last night in Spangler Hospital. She had been a medical patient since Oct. 25. She was born at Ashville Jan.12, 1888, a daughter of James and Cecelia (Fitzpatrick) McConnell. Surviving are her husband, Bernard Litzinger; her parents, residing at Patton R.D. and her 14 children: Arthur and John, both of Maderia; Mrs. Everett Snedden, Fair Oaks, Pa; Mrs. Robert Wasser, Ebensburg; Elmer, Friendens; Mrs. Patrick Kelly, Tire Hill; Mrs. John E. Fleming, Ebensburg; Mrs. Wilfred Burkhard, Mrs. Byron Selfridge and Vernon, Warren, and Louis Litzinger, all of Patton; Albert and Eugene, both at home. There are 37 grandchildren. Mrs. Litzinger also leaves six brothers and sisters. Charles, David, Bert, William, and Philip, all of Patton; Joseph, Philadelphia; Mrs. Harry Waugh, Punxsutawney; Mrs. Lambert Benden, Baltimore,MD.; Mrs. Warren Burns, Ebensburg R.D.; Mrs. William Yeager, Braddock; Mrs. Anna Byrne, Patton; Mrs. Irvin O'Hara, Ebensburg; and Mrs. Joseph Sheehan, Ashville. One brother is dead. Mrs. Litzinger was a member of St.Mary's Catholic Church. The Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Friends will be received at the Litzinger home
