FLEMING-WILLIAMS – Susan Louise, 89, Summerhill (South Ebensburg), passed away July 2, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 19, 1920, in Chest Township, daughter of the late Bernard and Gertrude (McConnell) Litzinger. Preceded in death by first husband, John Eugene Fleming; second husband, William Quay Williams; brothers: Warren, Elmer, Vernon, Lewis, John, Albert and Thomas "Gene"; and sisters: Marie Snedden, Florence Wasser-Descanio and Thelma Kelly. Survived by children: John "Bucky" Fleming, married to the former Joyce Shaffer, Reynoldsville; James, married to Dorothy Dabella, Shippensburg; Barbara Smay, Home; Rhonda, wife of Kenneth Foltz, Harrisburg; Barry Fleming, Washington D.C.; Karen, wife of Ray Adams, Perry, Ga.; Eileen, wife of Carl Dumm, Summerhill; and Alice, wife of Richard Pound, Pace, Fla.; also 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Arthur E. Litzinger, Shawville; and Catherine "Cass" Burkhart and Rose (Byron) Selfridge, both of Patton. Member of South Ebensburg United Church of Christ, where she had been active as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, a member of the Woman's Circle and Penns West Conference. Sue enjoyed her farm, gardening, Bible study and helping folks in any way she could. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Sue worked many years for the Community Action Service, as well as West End Market in Ebensburg. At her request, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, the Rev. Dr. Frank Brosius, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
