Angel lover Evelyn B. Kotche, 91, formerly of Sun Prairie and Janesville, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, surrounded by her family at Evansville Manor in Evansville, Wis.
She was born Aug. 9, 1917, in Denmark, Wis., to Frank and Julia Zachek, and she married Raymond Kotche in June 1934. Those who knew and loved her enjoyed her beautiful handmade gifts, homemade goodies and infectious laughter. She nurtured a bond with her family and friends by making sure they knew they were loved unconditionally.
She is survived by her children, Gerald (Ellen) of Janesville, Thomas (Judy) of Gambrills, Md., Rosemary (Tim) Sommerville of Glendale, Ariz., Judith (John) Golliher of Deerfield, Marilyn (John) Zmuda of Eau Claire and Pamela (David) Pamperin of Appleton. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren, Terry (Doug) Davis, Jamie (Tammy) Kotche, Bobbi Jo (Todd) Bogner, Tim (Kelly) Kotche, Joseph (Heather) Kotche, Renee (Chris) Bachman, Jesse Sommerville, Josi Sommerville, Casey Golliher, Travis (Maria) Golliher, Lisa (Lewis) Anderson, Aaron Schasse and Chris Schasse; stepgrandchildren, Jon and Chris Pamperin and Kelly and Kristina Zmuda; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and two daughters, Donna and Patricia.
Please join the family for a 10 a.m. visitation on Valentine's Day, Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, in a celebration of Evelyn's life, and at 11:30 a.m. for a memorial Mass at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, Sun Prairie. A private burial will be held at Sacred Hearts Cemetery at a future time.
